It’s finally time to share the completed craft room + home office!!! I’m so excited to have a space just for me that I can use to work and create! Before we get to the reveal, let me remind you of where we started.
I had big plans this spring to get our backyard landscape looking better. But, God had other plans. We got hit with tons and tons (or what felt like tons and tons) of rain in the months of May and June. If you follow along with stories on Instagram, you might remember that I started the project way back when, before all the rain, and then much of what we had done had to be re-done because of all the rain. Ugh! Anywho! It’s finished (well 99% finished)!
I haven’t blogged about a thrift store update in a while! I got these candlesticks several months ago and they have been sitting in my garage. I had always intended on painting them, but I had just not gotten around to it yet. But, when I started re-styling our built-ins, I found the perfect place for them. They just weren’t the perfect color…at all.
Hey there friends! I’ve been sharing lately on Instagram of the #greatroomswapof2019 that’s been happening here at our house. As soon as our older kids started moving on to college and beyond the younger kids were always vieing for the larger room. Out of the three bedrooms, one is in the corner and quite a big bigger than the other two. So, as always, when our daughter moved out, our middle son was asking to switch rooms. This always means painting, moving furniture, taking stuff off the wall, putting stuff on the wall, etc. This time also included making my youngest son go through his
hoard stuff. And, yes, since middle son was moving, youngest son decided he would move too, so more of all of the same. But….the best part of it all was I realized we would actually have an empty bedroom. I thought about (for about a second) making it into an official guest room, but then I decided to make it all mine. That’s right, a dedicated craft room + home office! I’m so excited!! Here is what we are starting with.
Happy February friends! It’s the month of love, but it’s also my birthday month! 😀 I haven’t done any Valentine’s decorating this year. Not sure why, just haven’t really felt like it. Haha! But, as I was moving things around in the kids rooms this weekend I found these tea towels that I bought from IKEA a while back and decided that they would make adorable Valentine’s napkins. Did you know tea towels = napkins?? Ha! Well, I think these tea towels are a little on the small side so I think they will work just fine! Maybe a little big but fine. 🙂
