Wow, that was a great break! Have you enjoyed some time off with family? I still have a few days before my kiddos head back to school, and I am going to enjoy every moment. But, I am itching to get back into the groove of our regular routine. As we come to the end of 2017, we are looking back at the year and evaluating how we did. Just like I’m sure a lot of you are :). Did we meet our goals, where did we fall short, what are things that maybe became less important as the year went by?? All good questions. I love having this space to share some of these things with you – it’s great accountability. So, I copied and pasted my goals that I shared at the beginning of this year (in the black print), and I am sharing how we did with them (in the green print below).
I’m super pumped to share this with y’all. I was going to wait until after Christmas, but I just couldn’t. We actually finished the project right before Thanksgiving, but by then all things Christmas had already landed here. So, I waited. But, I just couldn’t wait any longer!! What am I talking about?? Well, we finally got around to updating the tile in our kids/guest shower!! Did y’all catch the sneak peek in my Christmas home tour??
Yes, I know that’s kind of a heavy title for a Tuesday right?? Well, sometimes I just feel led to share my feelings and my story. Just in case someone else out there is struggling with something similar. So….if you stopped by hoping to see some pretty Christmas decor then scroll on through and enjoy the pictures that I added just for you. Really, it won’t hurt my feelings at all. 😉 But, if the holidays have got you feeling like you’re at the end of your rope, then maybe some of these words will be helpful.
I feel like I’m a little behind getting this tour to you. And yesterday when it was sunny and I was shooting, of course my camera battery died…ugh. No biggie. I took a little lunch break, made some cookies and finished shooting!! So here we are today! And I say, “welcome to our home!”
I spent last week decking the halls around here and I’m excited to share our mantel with you today! I decided to keep it simple this year. I’m really liking the less is more approach to decor these days. Keeps the space a little quieter.
