I had big plans this spring to get our backyard landscape looking better. But, God had other plans. We got hit with tons and tons (or what felt like tons and tons) of rain in the months of May and June. If you follow along with stories on Instagram, you might remember that I started the project way back when, before all the rain, and then much of what we had done had to be re-done because of all the rain. Ugh! Anywho! It’s finished (well 99% finished)!
It’s been a while since I shared a tablescape with y’all!! I found some table linens in a closet not too long ago that I had completely forgotten buying! Ugh! Do you ever do that? I purchased them last year on clearance at Target. They are so cute and summery! I just had to pull together a table for you guys!
I have been wanting to try my hand at one of these for a long time. I’ve seen them floating around the interwebs for a while! So, even though this isn’t a “new” creation, I thought I would share my process with you. 🙂 It was not a perfect process by any means, but I feel like you should know that not all DIY is perfect. Not everything goes exactly as planned, and sometimes you have to go with plan B or plan C. So, I’m gonna share it all – the good and the not so good. haha
Hey there! How are ya?? I have to be honest, styling bookshelves used to intimidate me. Like for real. I was awful at it. But, over the years, I’ve learned a thing or two from people who seemed to be naturals at it, and now I think I’m not too bad. HA!! I also have to admit that I hadn’t touched our bookshelves in our family room for several years. Aside from adding in and taking out a few seasonal items here and there, they stayed basically the same. Here are some before pics that I had to hunt for, because I have become a terrible blogger in that I keep forgetting to take before pics!! (not great quality because they are phone pics and not meant to be before pics haha)
I haven’t blogged about a thrift store update in a while! I got these candlesticks several months ago and they have been sitting in my garage. I had always intended on painting them, but I had just not gotten around to it yet. But, when I started re-styling our built-ins, I found the perfect place for them. They just weren’t the perfect color…at all.
