Hey there friends!! We are super busy around here trying to put the finishing touches on our One Room Challenge Laundry Room Update. But, I still want to bring you some other useful content that is relevant for the season!! Can you believe it’s November already?!? I think every year the clock moves faster. Thanksgiving will be here before you know it, so there is no better time than the present to get ready! So, today I’m sharing with you how to set a pretty table on a budget!!
This is one of my favorite times a year around here because this is one of those times when my friends and I get together to share great tablescape ideas!! This time around it’s Fall Tablescapes. I know, I know, it might be a tad early, but in blogland that’s just how it goes. After all, if you are planning ahead for a fall gathering, now would be a good time to be gathering some inspiration…am I right??
Hey there! So, I have to be honest, I feel like I am jumping the gun sharing this space with you. Considering the tile debacle that we’ve been dealing with. If you don’t know what I’m talking about (shared on Insta) – we had a couple of tiles in our kitchen randomly buckle up last week. We have no idea why – maybe a small earthquake that we experienced that day – who knows. The problem was, when we tried to get the tiles back down, one broke and the other one wouldn’t fit back in it’s place. We’ve had several tiles start to crack lately, so re-tiling was definitely on the list, just not the top of the list, I mean hello, we are in the middle of a ton of outside projects right now. No time to tile. But, alas, we didn’t want this to be a tripping hazard so to the top of the list it went. More about that later when we get it done!! Today, let’s focus on this table.
If you’ve been around here for even a little while then you know I love navy! So, this table might be my favorite!! I’ll be honest, I was struggling coming up with inspiration. I had been to Hobby Lobby, Target, TJMaxx, Micheals, searching for some sort of spring inspiration to hit me, but it just wasn’t. I finally remembered I had this silver trophy vase I had bought at Vintage Market Days last year that I have been dying to use. That was a start at least. I opened my craft storage closet looking for fabric. I had actually purchased some light purple daises while at Walmart the day before. So, I started to look at my lavender fabric stash. Then I spotted the navy gingham I had left over from the euro shams I made for our master bedroom. And then the creative wheel finally started to turn! If I had gone the lavender route, I would have had to make 3 more napkins, but navy – I had plenty of those! Win, win! (and besides I went the lavender route last year haha)
Hey there everybody! I have been staring at this wall in our breakfast room for weeks now. Well, I mean I’ve been doing other things besides staring at this wall, but it has been getting a lot of my attention. 🙂 Mostly, it’s been getting the side eye from me. I’m just kind of tired of the gallery wall. I love seeing the faces of our family everyday, but to be honest, they don’t even look like that anymore! Those pics are four years old. I have new pictures, but I just think I’m ready for something different.
