Easy DIY Sugar Scrub

DIY

Hey there friends! Spring is right around the corner! Yay! You know what that means though – time to get your feet sandal ready! HAHA!! As much as I like a good pedicure. I don’t like to pay for them often, and I don’t take the time to get them done. A few years ago a friend gifted me with a sugar scrub that she had made and I started using it on my feet. In a couple of weeks my feet were silky smooth and sandal worthy! So of course I asked her for the recipe! Y’all love when I share my secrets, so here ya go!

Easy DIY Sugar Scrub

I’m sure that you can use this sugar scrub anywhere. And, I’m sure that some people are grossed out by talking about feet. Sorry, but everyone’s got them, and some of them need some help. 🙂 Mine included! So, this weekend I whipped up a batch of the sugar scrub and I thought I would share it with y’all!!

It is seriously the easiest thing in the world to make. And could easily be multiplied to give as gifts. Start with these three ingredients – coconut oil, sugar, and essential oil. You might have all three on hand, and you can get 2 out of 3 at least at your local grocery store, but I have provided Amazon links, in case you find that easier. I used orange essential oil because that’s what I had on hand, but you could use whatever you like. I know nothing about essential oils aside from the scent they provide so there’s that.

Sugar scrub ingredients

Measure out your coconut oil into a microwave safe bowl or measuring cup and melt it in the microwave. It took about 30 seconds to melt mine. Then add the sugar.

Mix these two together until blended.

Then add your essential oil. (Mine is from Grove Collaborative. Have you ordered from them before?)

And that’s it! Fill up whatever container you might like with this sugary goodness!

I like to use these squatty little jars to store it in because it’s easy to get out when your in the shower. This recipe was just enough to fill this jar to the brim. So, if you want more – for another bathroom, or to share with a friend, be sure you multiply the recipe accordingly.

Easy DIY Sugar Scrub

Just put a little in your hand and scrub those feet! Sometimes my scrub will get almost rock hard. It seems to happen more when it’s a little cold in your bathroom or shower. A little bit of warm water will loosen it up enough for you to use it.

Easy DIY Sugar Scrub

  • 1/4 Cup of Coconut Oil
  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 15 Drops of essential oil (your favorite scent)
  • Jar to store scrub

Enjoy!! And let’s hope these little sandal preparations bring the warm weather quickly!!
