Good morning friends. I am writing to you from the quiet.
My house was still bustling with activity until today. My college boy is back at school, my others have been back in the groove for a week or so, and this morning, as hubby left for work, I realized that it was just me.
Now, you might think this would make me sad. And, on some levels it does. But, then there is my brain that so welcomes the quiet. In the quiet I can hear my thoughts, the thoughts of The Lord, and things can actually get organized in my head!! It’s a beautiful thing really. I know, I know, I could have this everyday if I could just talk myself into getting up before the sun. But, that just doesn’t work for me since I’m a bit of a night owl. So, I welcome mornings like today.
I have many things to share with you in the coming days. I was hoping to get some things photographed this morning that I have been working on, but the clouds came. I’m thankful for the clouds – it’s been 100 degrees around here the past few days, but clouds do not work for taking pics.
I am working on bringing in a little bit of fall.
I am putting finishing touches on the family room update.
I am working on a couple of tweaks in the kitchen (I’m beginning to wonder if this room will ever be done.)
And, I am scheming plans for our 2nd bathroom (“finally” say the kids).
I still plan to share with you some how-to’s for the patio makeover, and I am working on some great organization projects as well.
These are just a few sneak peeks to hopefully bring you back to see more! 🙂
See why the quiet is so welcome!? There are so many things swimming around in my head right now! One. thing. at. a. time.
