Woodland Christmas Mantel

I have been loving all the green and white I’ve been seeing this year in Christmas decor. So simple, natural, and pretty! And…I love trees! So, that was the inspiration for my Christmas mantel this year!!

I started with the same sign I used last year. I just love it so much! It’s a good reminder of The reason for the season.

And then, I added my forest. 🙂 haha! A couple of these tress are the flocked trees from Target last year, and the rest are from Hobby Lobby this year.

I used a wood trough in the center that Hubby made for me several years ago, and added some greens. I had intended on spanning the trees all the way across, but then I couldn’t see my sign.

I had a vision a few weeks ago, and I’m so happy with the way it came out! It looked good when I finished, but not great. I couldn’t figure out what it was missing until I added these.

Ahhhh! So much better!! These little twinkle lights are battery powered and come with a remote!

Then came the big trees on the hearth. I found these at a garage sale several years ago, and I have used them every year! I love them. They still sell them at Hobby Lobby and other places too I’m sure. The have these cool trunks that look real and I love how the branches are kind of sparse and random.

Of course I added lights to them, a simple ‘names of Jesus’ word garland I’ve had forever, and a blanket wrapped around the base for a little extra warmth.

And that’s it! Simple, natural, and oh so twinkly!
