I spent last week decking the halls around here and I’m excited to share our mantel with you today! I decided to keep it simple this year. I’m really liking the less is more approach to decor these days. Keeps the space a little quieter.
The old window was left over from our fall mantel. I loved it so much I decided to make it work for Christmas too.
I made the Christmas hoop wreath a few weeks ago with this spot in mind. LOVE how it turned out! It’s the perfect addition to the window.
The galvanized nativity was purchased last year from a great small shop here in Oklahoma. We have several nativities scattered around our home during Christmas. I really can’t get enough!
I guess you could say I have a collection. Haha!
The chalkboard came back from the fall mantel as well. I just changed out the saying. If you have a chalkboard and are looking for lettering, or decorating inspiration for it, Pinterest is a great place to go. Find something that inspires you and get to chalking! I’m not super great at it yet, but I’m getting better. 🙂
I found the wooden stars on the other side of the window at Michael’s. They were actually part of their fall collection and I snagged them for 70% off! I knew they would be perfect for Christmas!
When you pan out and see the whole fireplace area you see my small rustic trees. I actually bought a set of three at a garage sale a few years ago, and they are perfect to add here and there.
The trees are making a return to this spot from last year. Only this year they are holding my names of Jesus garland. One of my favorite things I bought from a small shop that unfortunately is no longer in business.
You might notice that Christmas decor in our home centers around the birth of Christ. Because, as you know, Jesus IS the reason for the season!! 😀
I’ll be back later this week with the rest of our Christmas home! Love, love this time of year!!
