Hey friends! It’s February 1st! Say what?? Are you ready for Valentine’s Day?? Have you decorated yet?? Will you decorate?? I don’t do a lot, but I think the décor is just about as awesome as Christmas! I love the colors – all the shades of pink, red and purple. And, of course, all the sentiments of LOVE. 😉 I got our mantel all cuted up with lots of red, pink, white, and a little bit of sparkle and shine!
The center of attraction is this fun LOVE string art (tutorial coming soon) that I put together last weekend. I did string art when I was a kid and loved it! I don’t remember it being so much work though! HA! Maybe a grown up nailed all those nails for me…
I left a few things from our winter mantel. Including my sweater vases, and my thrifted brass pieces.
I thought about filling the brass bucket with something red and pink, but I couldn’t find anything I liked, so the pinecones stayed. The bucket did get a cute DIY tassel!
I added a little Valentine fun to the sweater vases also, in the form of some felt hearts, and my foam heart arrows that I made.
This mantel is loaded down with all of my craft projects that I’ve been working on lately! Do you see those glitter candle holders that I made a couple of weeks back?
More tassels for the brass candlesticks.
I added a crocheted heart garland (that I made a couple of years ago) to the pom pom garland to finish out the red and pink LOVE.
The gold frame was left over from our winter mantel also, and the pink wood heart is from the Target dollar spot.
So much fun!! I’ll be back Friday with some goodies to share with you!

This is so cute, Denise! I really like the yarn you used for the tassels, and the mix of everything is great!

Thanks Jennifer! Isn’t that yarn great? Variegated yarn is so fun I think!
