Hey friends! I hope your weekend was great! And I hope that all you mama’s out there had a wonderful Mother’s Day! I had a great day relaxing and enjoying a little quiet time as well as a fun dinner out! I love being a mama to my four! A few weeks ago I shared that I took a couple of days off to spend with my mom. We had such a great visit! And, at her suggestion, we decided to visit the Pioneer Woman Mercantile, in Pawhuska, OK, which is about 45 minutes from where my mom lives. I have been wanting to go since it opened, but wanted to let the hype settle a little – really didn’t want to stand in line. 😉
Luckily we did not have to wait in line for the store, but the line for her restaurant had already started to form for lunch when we got there at 10:30am. Maybe next time we’ll get an earlier start and have breakfast (my mom was sweet enough to let me sleep in 😀 ). I thought I would share some highlights from the store, things that caught my eye while we were there. So, enjoy!! (iPhone pics only 😀 )
We were greeted at the door with this tile outside the entry! So amazing!
When you walk in, you can’t help but look up! No detail was overlooked in this place. Just look at those chandeliers that line this whole side of the store!
There are cute and colorful displays everywhere you turn.
These cute metal lunchboxes brought back some memories.
These cutie clay dishes were sprinkled everywhere. So cute!
I loved the Oklahoma love around the store! Fun to see some state pride. Wouldn’t this make some cute skillet cornbread??
Cute Charlie pillow and other doggie fun.
No detail overlooked – even the bathrooms are pretty!
Upstairs there is a small bakery, and coffee bar. Again with the details – look at the ceiling and light fixtures up here! Gorgeous!!
While we were there, they were offering tours of the Lodge where Pioneer Woman does most of her filming for her food network show. It was a bit of a drive out into the country, (now I know what she means when she says she’s “going to town”) but the scenery was gorgeous. The view from the deck of the lodge was no different.
I took a few pics here, most things you’ve seen on the show, but maybe you haven’t seen this. Major pantry envy here!
Mom and I had such a good time!!
And I even came home with a treasure. It was hard to choose! Maybe I’ll have to go back!
If you’re in the area, it’s a definite must visit!!
