Good morning friends! It’s so good to be back here with you again! I never know how our summers are going to go. I never know how much time I’m going to have for projects and blog work. But I do know that I am going to be present for my kids while they are here at home. So, typically that means not too much time for projects and blog work. I hope you don’t feel too ignored, and even if you do, I hope you understand. If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen my embarrassing situation in my stories yesterday. 😳 As I mentioned there, all of my Etsy supplies and work have been basically taking up space in our master bedroom all summer while my daughter has been home. She’ll be headed back to college soon, and while I’m super sad to see her go, I will be glad to get some of this stuff out of our bedroom for a while.
Many of those things that I put in place are still working very well today. But…there is a lot of wasted space in there and some storage issues that need to be addressed. I started brainstorming ideas the other night in my favorite place – the internet – via pinterest. I thought I would share some of the inspiration I found with you today!
I would LOVE to have a designated craft room, where I could store all the things and make it pretty. Much like this one from Missy at The Little Green Bean!
Don’t you just love it?? Such a happy space!
But, alas, I don’t have that yet. Maybe someday. Right now I have a closet and a wall in my daughter’s room/guest room. So, my plan is to make the most of the space I have and create storage solutions that will allow this small space to function as I need it to! On to the inspiration!!
I’m a very visual person, so I plan to do what I can to have as much stuff out in the open as I can. I don’t like to dig – takes too much time. I love the idea of wrapping fabric (and maybe ribbon too) around boards like Stef from Girl Inspired did here.
Since a lot of my work is applique, I have a lot of scraps. Scraps that I don’t really want to throw away (because ya know I might be able to use them for something 😉 ) and I love this idea from Maple and Magnolia shown here.
And, I thought this was an adorable idea for buttons, or even beads. Anybody have one of these stashed in your garage?? Great idea from Away We Go.
