I am in the trenches of raising a teenage daughter. And although I am loving it and her, it might be the hardest thing I have ever done. I remember what it was like to be a teenage girl – vaguely. Constantly searching for a place to belong.
They are a multitude of things that can complicate this. Do you have a place to belong at school – good friends. Do you have a place to belong at home – a safe place to come to when the rest of the world has gone crazy. And probably the biggest and best – do you have a place to belong in Jesus?
I am so thankful that my daughter belongs to Jesus. That she has that sense of belonging to help her get through these tumultuous teenage years. What a blessing to know you belong to Jesus!! No matter what might be falling apart in this world, we know we can count on Him.

I love that your daughter knows her place of belonging in Jesus… and I love reading your heart for her. Cheering for your mama heart tonight. 🙂 (Stopped by from FMF)

Thank you for this reminder of the struggle teens can find themselves in just wanting to belong. I have a teen boy and like you love the child and the age but it's one of the hardest things I've done. I do try to remember back to being that age and the emotional struggles but honestly forgot about how it's all about belonging. Thank you for that reminder. I want to be intentional about reminding him that he belongs to God. Thank you for that. Xoxo

I've been loving this stage of parenting teens… and helping them discover where they can belong! Hard, but oh boy, is it worth it!

We are raising some teens as well right now and it's a beautiful thing to see them become and belong! Thanks for these words!
