Hey there! I’m back with another quick and easy craft!! Even your kiddos might enjoy making these easy foam heart arrows!!
Aren’t they cute?? And, they seriously are super easy and inexpensive. Which if you’d been around here long, you know those are my favorite projects! I started with these supplies (plus a hot glue gun and scissors) – sheets of craft foam in the colors of your choosing and small dowel rods. You can buy these pre-cut in packages or cut your own.
The first step is to cut your shapes. Hearts for the tips and ‘feathers’ for the tails.
You might be able to see in the picture that the tails (is that what you call them? I have no idea) have a couple of cuts on the sides (to make them look like feathers) and a couple of small slits cut in the middle to feed the dowel through.
I cut two hearts per arrow, half bigger, half smaller. I didn’t use a pattern at all – just some freeform heart cutting! Glue the dowel to the bigger heart,
then glue the smaller heart on top, sandwiching the dowel in between the two hearts. I kept going using all my pieces and this is what I finished with.
So cute right!! They look great all piled up together.
Or in a vase.
Or wherever! Like I said fun, easy, and inexpensive Valentine’s décor!! Be sure to PIN for later!!
