Hey there friends! I’m joining a group of talented bloggers today to share some summer tablescape inspiration with you! I decided to take advantage of the upcoming holiday – one of my favorites – and create a fun red, white, and blue table for you!
I love setting the table, and I don’t do it nearly often enough. But, when I get the chance I love to challenge myself to do it on a budget! As much as I would love to have lots of dishes, centerpiece choices, napkin rings and linens, I honestly don’t have the storage for all of that…or the budget! So, I tend to pick basics that can be used over and over and just fill in with fun bargain finds!
This table started with my favorite Dollar Tree white dishes. Really the only ones that I use when I dress a table – so versatile.
Next up, the ‘linens’. I used a square dropcloth tablecloth (that I made s few years ago), some red and white gingham placemats (that are made from an outdoor tablecloth), and bandanas for napkins. Easy peasy and very economical.
I love using dropcloths for so many things (except their actual purpose). They are inexpensive, durable, and a great neutral color! No way I could have found placemats like these for the price I paid. The tablecloth (from Walmart) was $3.50, and I was able to get four double sided placemats out of that! This is not the first time you’ve seen me use bandanas for napkins. For $1.00 a piece (from Walmart again) you can’t go wrong!
Keeping it casual, I added mason jars for glasses. These cute red, and blue star paper straws I found at Hobby Lobby was just the patriotic touch I needed.
I posted several fun and easy napkin ring ideas last week, and I chose to go with the tinsel star garland for the table! So festive!!
I decided to keep it simple with the centerpiece too. It really started with these cute red buckets I found on clearance at Walmart. Then, I made a trip to the plant aisle and decided on some greenery along with a few Vincas for the center.
The flags bring the USA spirit alive!
Decorative pillows are always a fun addition to any room. These two pillow covers can be found in my Etsy shop!
I had a lot of fun pulling this together! Be sure to check out what all these other talented bloggers came up with! You will sure to be inspired!
