Hey there y’all!! Last week I had the crafting bug. Every once in a while…ok all the time, I get the urge to make something with my hands. I had been itching to make some sweater pumpkins that I had been seeing everywhere, so I headed to the thrift store. I found a sweater that I thought would work and a really cool plaid skirt. The skirt was actually cute, but didn’t fit – but the fabric was awesome! 😉 I brought them home and gathered a few more supplies and got started.
Hey there friends! Hope you are doing awesome! Things have been crazy as usual around here. Fall semester = all the activities. Each week it seems a new thing is added to the agenda, which can leave this mama a bit frazzled. We keep busy, but really do try our best to not be too busy. And, we definitely intentionally take time to rest! Think about it, do you do that? Your body and your brain craves it. Give yourself (and your family) permission to sit. and. do. nothing. for a few hours one afternoon. You won’t regret it I promise! Ok, encouragement and challenge given, let’s move on to today’s topic – thrifted wood bowls.
A couple of weeks ago while thrifting I stumbled across some wood bowls.
Hey y’all!! I mentioned that at Haven conference last month we were given a huge bag of swag compliments of several sponsors. Today I paired together two of those freebies and created something fun for our kitchen.
I’ve never tried my hand at succulents and I don’t have the greenest of thumbs so we shall see how it goes!
Our kids are finally back in school and we are all starting to get back into a rhythm again. Which means I can get back to DIYing. I’m flat out lazy during the summer! For one thing it is usually too hot to do much of anything DIY around here, and I would rather spend the time with my kiddos anyway!
However, that doesn’t mean that my brain has been lazy! I have lots of projects on my to-do list and I am ready to dive in! Actually…I’ve already dove in! So, as you wait eagerly to see what I have up my sleeve so to speak, I thought I would give you a sneak peek of a few projects to come!
Hey ya’ll!! Hope you had a wonderful weekend! Summer is amping up around here and we have been busy with kid stuff. I am going to do my best to keep a fairly regular blog schedule through the summer, but it is summer and as The Nester so sweetly reminds us, there are only so many summers left with my kiddos.
I’m sharing the last (I think) of the closet projects with you today. This cutie.
